Debbie Gold

Executive Chef

A James Beard Foundation Award-winner and four-time nominee appearing in multiple seasons of Bravo’s Top Chef Masters is a Chicago native.   After receiving a degree in Restaurant Management from the University of Illinois, she spent four years in some of France's most famed kitchens.  Returning to the States, Debbie continued her training with Charlie Trotter and was Pastry Chef at The Everest Room, before accepting her first Chef position at Mirador, Morton’s acclaimed “twenty something, shoe-string bistro” by The New York Times. 

Gold then turned her sights to Kansas City to begin a stellar twenty-year run; named Executive Chef of The American Restaurant, where she won a James Beard Award for “Best Midwest Chef.” She then opened her own spot, 40 Sardines, which garnered Gold a coveted James Beard nomination for “Best New Midwest Restaurant.”  

In 2017, Gold came back to Chicago as the Executive Chef of Tied House, receiving three stars by Phil Vettel.  Finally, reconnected with Morton she joined her as Executive Chef of Found Kitchen + Social House.
