Northwestern University and Evanston MashUp

Celebrate the best of Evanston at MashUp on Tuesday, September 16! The event is hosted by the Evanston Chamber of Commerce to connect a wide range of people in the community—from entrepreneurs to executives, artists to accountants, and city leaders to CEOs. The event is hosted in a beachfront tent on the Northwestern campus and features live music and food from local chefs including Found’s Chef Nicole Pederson. More information can be found here.

Evanston Harvest Celebration

4th Annual Evanston Harvest Celebration is happening Thursday, September 18. Top local chefs including Chef Nicole Pederson partner with prominent Midwest sustainable growers to deliver the culinary event of the North Shore season.  The event supports Friends of Evanston Farmers Markets, a non-profit organization striving to educate the public about the benefits of eating fresh, locally grown foods, and advocating greater access to healthy food for all community members, regardless of means. Food Network meets Ravinia Park in Concert

Food Network Magazine is bringing the food and music scene together like never before! Food Network stars and some of the country’s greatest chefs—including Found’s very own Chef Nicole Pederson—will converge at Ravinia on Saturday, September 20, joining musicians Twin Forks, Rau Midon, and seven-time Grammy-winning recording artist, John Mayer, for a day filled to the brim with unique food and music experiences. Share Our Strength and their No Kid Hungry Campaign—dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America by ensuring all children get the healthy food they need—will be the event’s official national charity partner.  More information can be found here.

Spence Farm Dinner

The Spence Farm’s 160-acres, located about two hours outside of the city, serve as a living, teaching laboratory for schoolchildren, new farmers, families, and others wanting to learn more about their food, the land, and the history of farming. Using Spence Farm’s beautiful fall bounty, Chef Nicole will prepare a seasonally-inspired, locally-sourced feast on Sunday, September 21. Members of The Spence Farm Foundation along will share the art, history, and practice of small sustainable farming. Chicago Gourmet

Hosted by Bon Appétit in Millennium Park, Chicago Gourmet showcases more than 150 of Chicago’s finest restaurants and chefs, as well as hundreds of renowned vintners, spirit makers, and premium breweries from around the world. Guests can experience dozens of live cooking demonstrations, expert seminars, gourmet tastings, and book signings by internationally renowned chefs, master sommeliers, and winemakers. Found’s own Chef Nicole Pederson will have a demonstration on Saturday, September 27 in partnership with the Green City Market on the Bon Appétit Culinary Stage. More information can be found here.

Kohler Food & Wine Experience

The 14th annual Kohler Food & Wine kicks off on Thursday, October 23 for four days of food, wine, and fun. This epicurean event brings renowned chefs, wine experts, and culinary enthusiasts from around the world for in-depth seminars, tastings, and exciting activities. Chef Nicole Pederson will have a demonstration in partnership with Sub-Zero as well as a beer-centric lunch co-hosted by Stella Artois. More information can be found here.
